Every Surface is a series of texture maps from an online satellite 3D mapping platform. These 2D images, usually wrapped around 3D models to add color, are presented in their raw, flat form. Intended for computer parsing rather than human viewing, they resemble glitched maps or cubist collages but are designed to apply texture to 3D structures. Most of these images go unseen by humans, raising the question of whether they qualify as images at all. The project is also available online at http://www.3d-maps-minus-3d.com.
